The 2012 Lake In The Hills Summer Sunset Festival will be held
Friday, August 31, 2012 - Sunday, September 2, 2012

Hello from the Summer Sunset Festival organizing committee, and thanks for your interest in the 2012 event. This is the 12th year for the Festival which runs Friday, August 31, 2012 - Sunday, September 2, 2012. The Festival has become a huge and popular community event.

You can bring the kids and enjoy events like the Parade and Kids' Korner. All ages will love the Tilt-a-Whirl, Ferris Wheel and other Carnival Rides, and we have several rides for the little ones, too. With or without the kids, come enjoy the Live Music on Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights.

Stroll through the Craft Show on Saturday, with over 30 exhibitors of home-made, quality items, and come back Sunday and stroll through the Business EXPOsure to see what local businesses have to offer. Then stick around for delicious Food from some of the area's finest restaurants.

The Summer Sunset Festival is FREE to enter to enjoy live music every evening on the main stage and most other events. Attractions you can spend money on include Food, Beverages, and the Carnival.

Be sure to be at Sunset Park on Sunday night for McHenry County's best Fireworks show. Bring a blanket and some lawn chairs, because there is lots of room just south of the parking area to sit and watch the display, which will be almost directly overhead.

There is a lot more to do and see. We are in the planning stages of this year's event, so stay tuned to this web page for updated information.
